Started as a solo loop project from Teenage Halloween guitarist Eli Frank, Bummer Camp have evolved over the years from lo-fi origins to become a powerful shoegaze/grunge/folk quartet making ripples in New York City’s musical pond. Their two EP releases have built up their reputation, and now their upcoming debut LP Stuck In A Dream, out February 14 from Trash Casual Records, will cement it.
Today, we’re spotlighting the video for their single “Pull the Thread,” which is off the upcoming album. With the buzzsaw guitars and haunting melodies, it’s a shoegaze powerhouse with a mesmerizing wall of sound that draws you in with a certain romanticism. That romanticism is highlighted by the trippy, lo-fi music video that’s awash with swirling colors and distorted perspectives. Check out the video below.
