Video Premiere: Ya I Feel Ya – ‘Chattering Mind’

Lifelong friends Ryan Immegart, Donald Horne, and Michael Thompson have been through a lot together, and that includes their time together in the punk band theLINE in the 1990s. Now, reunited, they decided they wanted to take on new challenges in a new genre with their new band Ya I Feel Ya. Taking their punk edge and tossing it in a blender with the echoing intensity of Pink Floyd, Dylan, and Springsteen’s poetic storytelling, and a modern indie rock beauty, Ya I Feel Ya isn’t so much of a completely new identity as it is a radically big next step in who they’ve always been.

Today, we’re proud to present their debut single “Chattering Mind.” An epic mix of psychedelia, indie folk, prog, and just a touch of dream pop, this song almost transcends genre in its mesmerizing rhythm and resounding melody. Add to that the intensely trippy video of surreal nature imagery and the whole thing gives off a dark beauty that’s entirely unique.

“Ya I Feel Ya is the product of decades-long friendship and a shared passion for honest, evocative music,” says Immegart. “Donald Horne and Michael Thompson—my lifelong friends who inspired my journey in our 90’s punk band theLINE allowed me to open up in ways I’d lost touch with—together creating something deeply personal to all of us. Our debut single and music video for ‘Chattering Mind,’ pairs our introspective lyrics with lush, atmospheric rock, capturing the raw inner dialogue of our self-reflection. Built on collaboration and authenticity, Ya I Feel Ya is more than a band; we’re turning our lifetime of chaos into harmony, hopefully you feel it to.”
