Happy Friday, rockers! Coffin Prick is the solo experimental rock project from Los Angeles-based multi-instrumentalist Ryan Weinstein. The project recently released a new single called “Loose Enchantment,” which is the title track off of Coffin Prick’s new album coming later this year. The single is now streaming on all platforms and is available on Bandcamp.
“Loose Enchantment” builds off of a simple, steady rhythm that kicks off the track before the synths come in and build a haunting melody that really digs its way into your brain and stays there. It moves through a number of unusual electronic elements, really experimenting with different soundscapes, but always sticking to that simple rhythm as the backbone of the song. It manages to go off in unexplored, experimental direction while still keeping the track tethered to a conventional structure. It definitely promises to be an intriguing album if every track is as complex and well-structured as this one. Check out the track below.
