“It’s our biggest crowds, and all I hear from people is ‘thank you,’” says “Fat” Mike Burkett. “The gratitude I have for the fans in the cities, I’ve never felt that before. My heart is full.”
About their longevity, he adds: “I don’t want to be in the spotlight anymore. I like having a body of work, like the Beatles. If you keep playing, you don’t look back. Everyone says I’ll miss it. And I might miss it, but my memories are going to be awesome.”
